The BC Balance and Dizziness Society is a non-profit organization in Vancouver, BC. They are a joy to work with! I built their WordPress Web site using Genesis Framework and CobaltApp’s Dynamik Website Builder. Because almost all the members suffer from dizziness disorders, the slideshow is set to manual and the site could not be overly busy, so at first it didn't have any sidebars. Once we realized that our audience wasn't so much people who were so dizzy they couldn't even look at a busy website, but their friends, relatives and caregivers, as well as many people whose dizziness was intermittent or less acute. Medical professionals interested in vestibular disorders also love our site. So, we added sidebars and lots more great features for all these folks.
I also helped BADD with their purchase of additional domain names and a new hosting account, as well as with setting up a mailing list. In 2016 I implemented a CMS that allows BADD to manage memberships and donors and interfaces with the website for online payments. In 2017 I built several custom post types (CPT) in WordPress so they could enter custom data for professional memberships, information sheets and events. I also prepared a WordPress user guide and maintenance manual for BADD board members and volunteers. This manual continues to grow!
